Viticulture – World Expansion

Viticulture is one of the most renowned worker-placement, hand management games from top tier publisher, Stonemaier Games. Indeed, it is consistently in the top 30 games on Board Game Geek! And whilst Viticulture base game has you pitting your efforts against other budding bottlers, here the tables are turned. Thanks to the new Viticulture World Expansion, you can now play the same delicious grape harvesting, wine making gameplay co-operatively.

In Viticulture World, you are working with your extended family to grow, harvest, process, and sell delicious wines from across 7 different continents. In order to achieve global success as the best vineyard around, every player needs to hit a personal victory point target as well as smash the team target on the influence track by the end of the 6th and final year. Balancing personal development with family needs therefore brings a whole new flavour to Viticulture.

Each continent you visit in the game has its own taste. You will be following a narrative and playing through a series of unique events which create changes to the new board layout. You will also be using new seasonal workers, have the ability to choose heteronormative parents as starting bonuses, plus an extra season and exciting innovations to try each game.

Whilst the accompanying story within each continent is designed to help you make the best use of resources at key times during your first play, Viticulture World is not a legacy game. During subsequent plays, each set of continent event cards can be shuffled up and played out in a random order to give even more variety and crunch to your collective strategy. Plus, even though Viticulture World is co-operative, there is an Automa AI solo so that you can experience the same rich game play in single player mode.
