Quacks of Quedlinburg, is a bag building game with elements of push your luck. Players take on the role of quack doctors, who are trying to brew the best potion, over a 9-day festival. Simultaneously, players draw ingredients from their bag and add them to their cauldron score tracks. Whoever gets the furthest wins victory pints and rolls the bonus die. But beware, inside your bag are cherry bombs! Draw too many of these and your pot will explode, and you’ll be left with nothing!

To improve potion brewing odds, players will buy ingredients with unique abilities. You can choose from mandrakes, mushrooms, moths, spiders and more. For those players who keep blowing up, rats’ tails will be added to the pot, as an extra ingredient, to stop them falling behind. At the end of 9 rounds, the player with the most victory points, win!

But why settle with just the base game. In the Mega Box, players will have access to the Quacks of Quedlinburg expansions. These up the player count to 5!

In The Herb Witches players can use coin offerings. Players can spend coins and access special bonuses provided by the Herb Witches. Is your pot always exploding? Pay a coin to the right Herb Witch and they will let you roll the die, move, and buy new ingredients despite blowing up. This expansion also includes a new ingredient Locoweed and makes your pot bigger!

For even more Quacks, you can play The Alchemists expansion. This includes a new score track which will help you earn rubies, ingredients, and victory points. Players get to use potions to treat patient afflictions like vampirism, wing ears and carrot noses. Each patient offers new rewards and diversifies player actions.
